I just got the flu shot for the first time and i already feel so weird/ sick. I know they said i could get a slight fever but I feel really light headed and dizzy and weak etc.. Is this normal?

Re: Question about the Flu Shot
I didn't do it this year. I need to but haven't . But I have gotten sick from it in the past, but it usually lasts 10 hours or so and is much less severe then the flu. As long as you were not already sick when you got it.

Re: Question about the Flu Shot
I felt the same thing you did. And I usually get the flu shot every year and never really have any symptoms. This year, though, the strain must have been quite different than it normally is and I definitely felt weird. Hope you feel better soon!

Re: Question about the Flu Shot
If your still feeling sick tomorrow though you might want to see a dr. I need to get mine since I student teach in the fall, but I was going to go this week and now I am sick, probably from observation hours and an immune system not used to schools yet.

I got it and felt fine but I did hear of people getting sick from it. It depends on how your body reacts to it

Re: Question about the Flu Shot
I get it every year. I usually get a sore and really swollen arm, but this year I had absolutely no side effects.
Everyone will react differently to the shot each year. If your side effects last longer than a couple of days, give your dr a call.
