question about throwing rose petals down the aisle

so I told my mom the other day that I was going to have the flower girl throw rose petals down the aisle, and she said that churches don't allow that. I know my church doesn't allow an aisle runner, but has anyone ever heard of not allowing flower petals?????

I've never heard of this but I'm having my FG throw silk petals so there is no slip and fall incident.

My church does not allow rose petals down the aisle -- or even to be thrown outside the church after the ceremony!

I'm not even allowed an aisle runner!

yep, my church doesn't allow flower throwing inside or out and no aisle runners. I made my FG's 'kissing balls' to carry down the aisle and for outside we are most likely doing bubbles.

Yea Ive heard of this too. When I went to the florist HE actually was the one who told me about this first. He was like you need to check with your church to make sure you can throw petals on the aisle and if you can throw them outside. I was shocked that churches dont allow it, but thankfully mine does...

That really sux though. What does a flower girl do then in a case like this?

My church doesn't allow rose petals. A lot of churches don't anymore because people have slipped on them and then had the audacity to sue the church, therefore, many don't allow
