We are finally scheduled to go to closing next week, do we 'tip' anybody? my husband brought this up last night and I freaked out actually thinking we would have to 'tip' someone with all the money we are spending to begin with.
Does anyone know? Thanks!

Re: Question about 'Tipping' at a closing????
Diane---LOL
I dont know why it is done! it is just done!!! sometimes, I wonder now..... why did I go to law school, if a closer does five closings a week, thats at least 500.00 just in tips!!! LOL plus their salary!
Fran--- I only saw someone give cash once or twice b/c the closing was an all cash deal, so most of the time the closer gets a check, I have seen people hand over a 100.00 bill but most of the time, its a check

My friend works for the title company so she saved us $300.00 and sent her best closer. We tipped her $100.00 (personal check).
My attorney was gratis and if he EVER gets me my closing papers (after 2 months), maybe, just maybe I'll send him a gift!! Doofus!!!
