Question about Video..please read

Hello Ladies,

Quick question for those of you who have had the video...is it worth the money? I'm torn because I would like to have it but it's expensive...to do or not to do? I figured I would ask you ladies being that your already experienced it.

Thanks

Re: Question about Video..please read

i recommend it!!

the day goes by so fast and its nice to be able to relive it.. i cant wait to get mine!!

my cousin did some video taping throughout the day and at the RH too so that was good as well..

if its not in your budget, maybe you can ask someone to video tape it for you - ceremony and some during the reception - first dance , cake cutting and parent dances - just an idea...

Even if it's not in your budget, have someone videotape the highlights of the day.

It's definitely worth it. I am so excited to get mine any day now. Pictures are nice but they don't capture the mood as well.

Our video guy was amazing (and reasonably priced), he even posted our video on YouTube so we can forward it to our friends.

Here it is, there is a twist at the end

At first, we were wondering the same thing... we decided to do the splurge for the video, because we realized we will never be able to recapture the day. Then, we will have something to share with our children as well.

I would suggest having someone make you a video even if it isn't professional.

I was in your boat a year ago...we were not really caring either way about the video, and didn't think it was necessary. We ended up getting it bc it was part of the package and we really liked the sample. Now I'm glad because it really captured the day in a way that the pictures can't, and we have all of the people we love on it, who may not be with us in the future!!

I personally DID have a videographer and am sooooo thankful I did. There's just so much going on during the day that photos just don't do justice.. I can't wait for my video so I can see whatever the photographer missed, and what I missed. I can't wait to see the random conversations in the raw footage!

I also know of alot of brides who simply could not fit it in their budgets and that's ok too. It's really just about the $, if it's there, spring for it, it's definately worth it. If it's not there, then photos will be ok too.

our video was amazing and I got to see alot that i missed..even on the un-cut and i was talking, i watched it and the funny stuff i did, i dont even remember doing!

i got a basic video package at first and then upgraded right before the wedding. it basically was just an upgrade to add HM pix and I think it also included a recap and 2 or 3 more song choices.

Its definitely worth it! Its just as important as the photog-of u asked me. They'll probably give u alittle more of a discount if u do ur video through ur photog too!

good luck!

Yup, I've said this from the beginning. Video was more important than pictures to me. It's important to have nice pics, but it won't bring the day back like a video can.

When FH and I first started planning we said no video. I kept thinking of the annoying in-your-face with bright lights camera men at weddings of the past.
Well, as we got deeper into planning, I realized I wanted one. Everyone says the day is a whirlwind, and I want to be able to re-visit every minute. Especially when it comes to things like speeches, first dance, vows.
We met with a few videographers and ended up with WIld Rose. They do beautiful work and seem to stay out of the way.
I definitely recommend them.
