question about wax seals

question about wax seals

so i wound up not ordering them through my invitation place bc they do the real old school wax seal with some big machine--- and more or less talked me out of it bc 1. it was $$$ and 2. they said that many times they break in the mail.

so my question to you ladies.... those who have done it:
1. how much did it cost
2. where did you order them from (pics if you have)
3. and do you know if they lasted in the mail

thanks!

Re: question about wax seals

i did this! i bought them from Michaels (forgot the cost but def inexpensive with the Michaels coupon).

it took several attempts to make it look 'nice', but soon as you get a hold off it, it was easy! i bought clear plastic envelopes to protect the seal and the whole invitation (just in case it's not sturdy) and it arrived at my guests safely and in the same condition as i sent it!

i bought the monogram H stamp at michaels for $5.99 and bought silver sparkle glue sticks to put in the hot glue gun and sealed them with that... from what i know they all made them in tact to the guests

Re: question about wax seals

I did what Cleo did. I think it cost me MAYBE $20 from Michaels. And exactly what she said, it took maybe a few attempts but once you get it, you get it.

I didn't pay the clear envelopes to go over them though but it still showed up nicely to everyones house. I did hand-cancel the envelopes.
