Question about Wedding Expos

This might be a really silly question, but my fh and I have never been to a wedding expo. We are scheduled to go to one tomorrow night at Giorgio's. I was wondering what we can expect there. How do they work? What should I wear? I would appreciate any help all of you can offer. Thanks in advance!!

Could you tell us more about it? For example, is it only Giorgio's recommended vendors?

If so, DH and I went to a similar one at Crest Hollow Country Club, which was our site. Only recommended vendors were showing. Like a trade show, each vendor had its own booth (more like a table) with displays of its work.

I suggest focusing on the vendors most important to you. For us, we spent the most time on the big-ticket vendors--photo, video, flowers, and music. Although we gathered some info on smaller-item vendors, like limos, we spent less time actually talking to them. Essentially, you wander from vendor to vendor and each one gives you its marketing pitch.

Have a list of questions prepared for each vendor type. Take notes. Get business cards. As for attire, casual is fine. Give yourself plenty of time. Bring a snack and some bottled water. Don't book right then--these meetings should be a gateway to appointments.

You shouldn't be forced by the site to use only its recommended vendors, so shop around with non-recommended vendors as well.
