When are you/when did you open your wedding gifts? Did you do it after the wedding or just waited until the next day?

In past weddings I've been in I've seen the bride & groom exchange prior to the rehearsal dinner or at it. No gifts for FH and I, our wedding & new house are a gift to each other.

i did it the next day.....i actually sent all the cards home with my parents bc we were staying at a hotel and i didnt feel comfortable leaving it in hotel room...especially since we werent in the room we continued to party at bar...so we opened them the next day!

We opened all of ours the next day when we got home. We didn't exchange gifts with each other.

im sure we are going to open ours the next day. we arent exchanging gifts either...the wedding itself was the best gift ever!!!

We opened the cards when we got to the hotel after the wedding that night.
We opened the boxed gifts when we got back from our honeymoon. We left the day after our wedding and didn't have time to open them.
We opened the envelopes so we could have the c checks deposited. (We didn't want people to have checks outstaning for almost 3 weeks)

We already bought ourselves a gift FH got a ring and I got a new engagement ring setting....... Knowing my FH hes going to be opening the cards on the way home to see how much money we got

we took all the envelopes with us in out photocube box to the hotel and opened them all up that night. We didn't get any boxed gifts at the wedding, only envelopes.

We had our own limo from the church to the RH, so we exchanged after we were REALLY married. It was perfect
ETA: ok did you mean gifts to each other? or from guests? We actually left for our HM the next morning, so we didn't open our cards until after the HM... don't worry, people expect it... they wont mind that the checks didnt go through for a few weeks

We are planning to wait until after we get back from the HM! just a personal choice.
