Ques is, should I call the shop where dress was purchased and ask if need be what can we do to get a bigger size? or if the dress itself can be altered to accomodate 2nd person (baby)?

Call and ask...just to be sure.
What does the dress look like? Is it very fitted around the waist?

One of mine just found out she is pregnant too...she'll be 4 1/2 months, and I went though the same panic! lol.
But she ordered a bigger size back when we picked them, and wound up losing about 20 pounds...so now it should even out perfectly.

My cousin, a BM, will be about 7 months pregnant at my wedding. I'm not worried about it. The bridal shop will be able to take care of anything when they do the alterations.

Re: Question, Abt Pregnant BM
Wacky, my cousin had 2 prego bridesmaids when she got married a few years ago, and the bridal shop just ordered an extra bolt of material from the same lot that the dresses were being cut from. When the PG girls went for their fittings, the bridal shop just cut an extra panel of the material and inconspicuously sewed it into the dress. It really wasn't a big deal...and the girls were more than comfortable in the dress. Good luck - I am sure it will work out. At 5 months, she may not be showing very much yet.

I think it'll be fine too.
Awesome dress. Definately the kind that's wearable again and again. Your BMs must love you for that.

My sister MOH is going to be about 5 months pregnant at my wedding.
When we ordered the dresses she ordered up a Size Just in Case!! I think if they store lets you order a bigger size, Just in case.
all should be fine those ladies can fix anything

Re: Question, Abt Pregnant BM
One of my bridesmaids ordered her dress too a size bigger'just in case' She found out in December that she is PG, she will be 8 months at my wedding. I dont know how the dress will work for her but I told her that if she wanted, we could find something else for her.
