Question for all '10, '11, and future brides! What do you want in a review?
Hey Ladies! I'm doing my review now..(all the writing part is done and I'm waiting to get TP's CD's tonight to add in my beautiful pictures..)
and I thought while I can't do anything else on it meanwhile, I should find out exactly what you all really look for in a past bride's review?
Let me know and this is a great thread to have for anyone else doing their review's in the future!

lots of photos... everyone apologizes for it being long, but I want it long!!! DETAILS!!!
And if you already got feedback from any guests, good or bad, I wanna hear that too, in addition to the bride's impressions.
And I always like to read why you chose who/what you chose, what thought went into the decision especially if it was a tough one.

So glad you like it long because this review is CRAZY long! It's 12 pages single spaced on Word and I didn't add all the pics yet!

Agreed - I think the longer the review, the better. Way more informative - especially with lots of pics!

Definitely pictures! I'm ashamed to admit it, but I usually only skim through the reviews that don't have pictures. I find myself more interested in ones that have pics throughout so I can understand the visual concept!

Pics are definitely helpful - but other then details, even a little bit of the planning that went into your decisions. Why you picked that photog? What made them different from the others? Stuff like that - always helpful to get an idea of your thought process leading up to your final decision!

Every little detail you can think of.. Anything that went wrong. The bad & good vendors. & ESPECIALLY LOTS OF PICTURES!!!!!!

details, Details, DETIALS!
Pictures... lots of them
CONS... quite honestly- I personally would prefer to hear about the negatives, only because it does help Future Brides to select Vendors and it gives us a bit of a warning in what to look for on the day of or while booking. Be BRUTALLY HONEST.
and of course we want to hear all about the pros.. I want to know what made the vendor that great, not just 'because'.. I loved my photographer because... he fixed my veil when it got tangled... little things like that, because it shows how these vendors act while on the job.

I love a review that contains a ton of details. I like knowing the details of why you selected to use that specific vendor. Also, I love to see tons of pictures. I really think they give the reader visual represntations of your special day and how much work went into it.

LIW pulls negative reviews so if at any point something didn't go as planned with a specific vendor, you could flag it with a simple phrase like 'we went w ___ vendor for (services/goods) and while I gave them an A/B/C, I was not pleased w certain details. FM me for what happened.'

Not necessarily true – I gave one of my vendors (who is also an LIW vendor) a not so great rating for part of the day and it wasn’t pulled. You just can’t be like “X vendor S*CKS, don’t use them!!” and not explain why.
I gave my rating and explained exactly what happened and didn’t have any issues with my review.
