so my sisters went to get the dress fitted yesterday..just to the local tailor
for just a hem it was 80 bucks and another 35 to take one in
to me that seems like a whole lot...is it?

That's a lot! Unless there are multiple layers/complicated hem?...I paid $40 total in the city for a BM dress that had a crinoline layer under it and also to shorten the straps.

G where did you go?
My girls are going to Antionette in Ridgewood. It was 65 for the hem AND having it taken in. She's supposed to be fabulous too!!!

at the dress shop they charged all my girls $75 hem, and to take some in on the top...

For my friends wedding a bm got her dress altared last minute and it was through a local dry cleaner in queens. If I'm not mistaken, they wanted 100 dollars! I do think the 80 is a bit pricey....
