Question for anyone who has vacationed/honeymooned in Disney...
Either CA or FL
Where would you recommend staying?
Is is 'bad' or inconvenient to stay just outside the park and take a hotel provided shuttle bus? Or is is worth it to just stay in the park?
What about going to other parks?
I want to make the best of our trip, we'll do 5-7 days. It's for our honeymoon!

We did a cruise/disney trip in 1993. We went on the cruise for 4 days and then disney for 3. We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort, which I highly recommend and know people who have gone recently and it has not changed. Everything was included, all park tickets, rent a car-which was great as we ventured around even though we took the buses to Disney. Good Luck!

we stayed on disney property and i highly recommend it. they provide transportation to all the parks and downtown disney. i don't know that other non-disney hotels provide that service. its worth the extra money, imo
we rented a car so we could go to universal, etc. it just made it easier for us

I would so VERY highly recommend staying on the property...it is such a different experience outside the grounds (IMHO). We're vacation club owners at Old Key West, and I've gone to Disney about 30 or so times. My personal favorite is the Polynesian!!

I love staying on property and I'd never stay off property. On property you never leave the magic, you get free, reliable transport and extra time in the parks.
