We booked our flight for our anniversary in late August but haven't decided on a hotel yet. Last time we stayed at the Allegro. It wasn't bad but we didn't like the balcony (We are big balcony people). We did love the location though. The Hyatt is right next door but it's a bit more pricey.
We are currently booked at the Radisson partial ocean view but we can change it....anyone been there?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Question for anyone who's been to Aruba
just got back from the Radisson - you can read my review on the Brides Review board - it was fabulous - we got the Deluxe Ocean View with balcony you can sit out on - the grounds were great, service was great...no complaints
we also heard that the Wyndham and Marriott were both good, but we didn't visit there and also I'm not sure about the balcony situation

That is very good to know. Congratulations on your marriage
Do you mean the Hyatt doesn't have balconies AT ALL?? I was trying to look at pictures but it's hard to tell. I don't remember from when we were there.

I stayed at the Radisson in November for my honeymoon and was very disappointed. I would not recommend it to anyone. There was one problem after another. FM for more info.

I stayed at the Marriott last year and LOVED it! They were wonderful and I would rec. to people. If nothing else, it's worth checking out.

Re: Question for anyone who's been to Aruba
We went there for our honeymoon in October in 2002 and we stayed at the Radisson. WE are going back there in July and are again staying at the Radisson. We loved every minute of it! We went around to the other hotels to see if when we went back we might stay anywhere else, but we really loved the pools, beach and everything else about the Radisson, including the balconies to sit and enjoy drink on before dinner. If you have any questions about the Radisson or the other hotels let me know

Re: Question for anyone who's been to Aruba
No, the Hyatt does not have balconies that you could stand on - you can open the doors the the room and look out, as there is a railing, but it's like, only a foot or so wide. I think a few of the higher up deluxe rooms have larger balconies but they are the most expensive ones.
As for problems at the Radisson - when we had minor issues (i.e. - one day the room was made up late) we called downstairs and not only did they fix it immediately, but the rest of the week the room was done on time, AND we got turn down service at night. They also have a concierge desk downstairs that will make all your dinner reservations for you wherever you want (although I'm sure other hotels may have this too)
I'd say my only complaint was that the hot tubs were a little bit of a walk from the main tower where we stayed (they weren't right next to the pool). But if you stay in that other tower (Curacao), you're good.

We stayed at the Wyndham in a one bedroom oceanfront suite. It was very nice! We actually had two balconies and we loved it!!!!!!!!!! Let me know if you want any more info.

Re: Question for anyone who's been to Aruba
We went to Aruba in March for our HM and stayed at the Radisson. No complaints at all with the room and/or service. The restaurants were great, the beach and pools were gorgeous and the staff was very friendly. We stayed in mini suite and loved it. Balcony was great. We ended up buying a timeshare at a new place being built so we won't be staying at the Radisson anymore but we'll continue to visit them and their casino every year
