Does anyone else think it's insane that the all-star balloting has already opened? The average team has played about 15 games this season. How can fans really pick who's having a great year? Why can't they start the balloting in late May? Give the fans a month to vote. Tally it up at the end of June and boom you're all set for the game in July. This just doesn't make sense to me.
Thoughts??

Re: Question for baseball fans
I really feel that since the all star game now dictates who has home field advantage in the world series that it shouldn't be left to the fans anymore. What's to stop me, an AL fan, from picking crappy NL players just so the AL team wins? My feeling is that stats should be weighted and that at the end of June the top 2 players in each position should go to the all star game. I don't like that each team has to be represented. What is this, little league
