Question for brides that have gone or are going to Tahiti/Bora Bora...

FH just got a quote and we are wondering if it is a good one -

Its for Jan 05 - Total $8700

-7 nights in Bora Bora at the Le Meridien in a Premium Overwater Bungalow

- 4 nights on Moorea at the Beachcomber International in a Beach Bungalow

- 1 night in Tahiti at the Le Meridien in a suite

This includes breakfast, all flights between islands and the flight to Tahiti from NY -

What do you think?

That sounds good!. We paid around $8K for 10 nights, 11 days. Tahiti for one night - Moorea for 4, Bora Bora for 5. We stayed at the Intercontinental hotels in an overwater bungalow at every island. no meals or excursions included. just to give you something to compare. oh and it was july which is a pretty popular time to go.

We are going on our official honeymoon to Tahitit, etc, the same cruise I think as Shea, exceot in July, on the Tahiatin Princess and it cost about 6,000 including everyhting. A cruise ,might be better there is nightlife, and all food is included. ( Except drinks and speciality restaurants on the ship. )

Have you heard anything about the age group? We were supposed to go on the Windstar but the cruise got cancelled.
My Mom, a travel agent, said this one is very nice. I did a little research and the average age seems a little older. We are in our early 30's (I am 31 and FH is 33).
Also, do you know anyone who has been on the Tahitian Princess?

I am going on the windstar on december 6th. There are only 60 cabins which is awesome..mostly couples ...the average age? Have no idea...but the cruise ship is actually a big sailboat..looks amazing!

My MIL went on it last summer and told us there ARe a lot of honeymoon couples on it, as well as older also. She told us to take a picture of us at our wedding and put it on our door, a lot of the honeymmon couples do it. I also heard they decorate your cabin if it is your honeymoon. I will let you all know when I go in 18 days... but who is counting...... We are doing 5 days in Beverly Hills and then the cruise to Tahtiti, etc. I have no idea how I am going to be able to be on a plane for that long, but that is why we are breaking up the flight. I am soooooo excited!!!!!
