Question for Crest Hollow brides...

Were you able to schedule a rehearsal if you are getting married there? We are having an indoor ceremony. I haven't called yet to ask, I wanted to get some feedback before I did.

Hey hun, i have a simple question for you? are you talking about a rehersal for the reception hall?? if so you dont need one. the DJ or band lines up everyone, and thats it. you dont need to waste time on that. the only rehersal you need to do is at the church so everyone knows who there walking with and what there going to do.
For he reception all there going to do is be intoduced and thats it.BP isnt mentioned again

No I'm talking about a ceremony rehearsal, just as you'd have one for a church....we are having our ceremony there.

My sister got married there in 1995 and they had a quick rehearsal an hour or so before the actual wedding. I hope this helps!

I'm also getting married at the Crest Hollow Misty. When we booked the hall, I asked about the rehersal and they said there isn't one. Do you know if there is a tasting there?? I need to call and find out. If you find any info. out please share!

I was married there, and my ceremony was indoors there as well. You don't need a rehearsal. They run you through it about an hour before the ceremony, and then, believe me, they make sure it runs like clockwork! They do a great job - you worry about NOTHING!!!

And, don't worry about the time factor - the rehearsal is not an actual 'practice' of walking down - it's really just an explanation of what you will be doing - it's really simple, don't worry! It works out perfectly!

Buttafli, I don't think they do 'tastings' really. They told us that when we come back to finalize the menu, if there was a party going on they'd smuggle some food out if we wanted them to.

FH and I have been to a wedding there actually, we went in July and the food was fabulous!! We had everyone at our table order something different so we tasted the fish, chicken, and meat. FH had the prime rib and it was awesome, I had some rolled up chicken thing with spinach that was also great...and the salmon was very fresh!

The cocktail hour was great also, but I don't think we'll go for the pasta station because it felt like a waste of a station since they offer pasta in chaffing dishes....we'll probably go for something cool like the mexican one, and then the carving station.

Are you doing the dessert hour? We're not, it was way too much money to add on per person. I'd like to look into cookie platters for the tables or something instead. And we got the espresso/cordial bar at the end of the night.

My wedding was at Crest Hollow in June - the food is fabulous. You have nothing to worry about. We did not do a tasting

I'm trying to stay in the 2500 price range and get high centerpieces..is this logical with Pedestals?

Pedestals did a great job, we were actually a little over that with high centerpieces, but I guess it depends how many you need, etc. They will make samples of the centerpieces for you before the wedding. The bouquets were gorgeous - full and very fresh. We worked with Danny.

We're also doing the cordials as well. We're not having the vienese (sp?) table though. We think that it's way too much food, plus it's alot of money added on to the whole thing. We're just having the cake, an extra dessert, plus the cordials. I think that's plenty.

I am also at Crest Hollow- next month actually. I am not doing the viennese either. To me it is a waste of food and money. JMO. We are going to meet with Joe next Saturday to pick our menus. I am glad to hear the chicken with the spinach is good, that might be one of our choices! Anyone add on to the cocktail hour? My mom wants to add the shrimp cocktail.

I think I'm picking the chicken and spinich dish too. I heard that it's really good. Did you pick you cake out yet or are you doing that next week too?

I think we pick the cake next week too. I hope I actually like one that is included. I want a stacked cake, with chocolate cake inside. We'll see! I am excited to pick the menu though... I will let you know what we picked.

What room are you girls all in? We are in the Suburban room upstairs.

Suburban room here too. I luv that room. At first we liked the one with the sunken dance floor, but we changed our minds. Our ceremony will be outside since the weather will be beautiful! I want chocolate cake too. FH says that he has never been to a wedding that had a chocolate wedding cake, and not everyone eats chocolate. OOH well!
