Re: Question for crest hollow brides..
When I booked I realized they're were not many nice places to take indoor shots in case of rain. I couldn't settle so I booked Old Westbury Gardens, I love the backdrop and you can take pics in the mansion in case of rain.
Places for photos.... -by the piano @ main Entrance -on steps leading up to Grand Ballroom on your right and left side as you enter Crest Hollow -In your reception room
Those are really the only places I figured could be used to have some nice photos...dont really think there are any more places.
I suggest you go in and walk around and decide or have a backup plan like I do.
That's a good idea. How much does taking pics at Old Westbury Gardens cost? If it's beautiful out and you take pictures at the Crest Hollow grounds, do you get your $$ back from Old Westbury?

I only used the fact that crest hollow didnt have good place for indoor pics to get around FH because he wasn't into paying a fee at OWG for taking pics. I love OWG thats why I am paying to take my pictures at this location. It starts at around 275 for 1.5 hours and goes upwards depending on what time you take pictures.
There is no getting your money back, it is a very popular place to take day of pics and books up very fast.
Some people think im a bit nuts paying for OWG when I have the gardens at Crest Hollow, but IMO the grounds cannot be compared. They are very different.
