What is this metal thing called (on the tag where the ribbon goes through)?? I would like to get them for my slipper basket tags, but I just don't know what they are called. TIA!!!
They are called metal grommets. You can buy them at craft stores. You'll need a small hammer to get them in.

No problem. Home Depot also has them, but they may only have bigger sizes there. I'd check with michael's first.

They are called eyelets and you need a crop a dile or eyelet setter. Michaels had small eyelets but they were pricey when you buy several packages (they came in sets of 20 and were limited with sizes and colors). I am using them to make program fans (the pages fan out from the eyelet). I bought colored eyelets cheaper from eyeletoutlet.com. They sell all different shapes and sizes. I then bought the crop a dile at either Michaels or AC Moore with a 50% off coupon (they are pricey but they punch the hole then set the eyelets). Have fun!
PS- I just looked up grommets and they are larger and used on heavy duty things- ie leather, clothes). They say the smaller size used for crafts with paper is called an eyelet.
