question for Elizabeth

Helen-

I reserved a block of rooms at a hotel in Bayside, near our house and the church so I don't think my hotel will suite you. But I have seen many postings in the past from Milleridge brides regarding hotels in the area. Try doing a search using the words Milleridge and hotel.

We booked the Ramada. I heard the Inn at Great Neck is beautiful.
If you are going to one of their showcases, the band members sit down with you to answer all your questions incl price.

That place is really good. What is your wedding date again? Is your fiance from this area? I remember you are living in Boston. Where are you staying the night before and after the wedding? At the Inn? I have to think of a place to have the rehearsal dinner. We were going to have it catered to his mother's but I am thinking I rather go somewhere and no clean up.
What does that signify? is it because you are the next to get married? My MOH and BM are both gettin married right after me and I would love to do something special for them--since I am the first--thank god I get to get it over with--I would rather be at their wedding saying we should have.... rather than lets...

I would love to hear how the appt. goes with Grand Florist. I also saw the other brides posting and was going to check it out.

I am planning a March 2002 wedding. I'm a little concerned about the weather. Where are you taking pictures?

You might ask them if the dress you like is in any of the current magazines or who the manufacturer is. You might be able to find it on the internet.

We will take pictures at the church, inside the Milleridge (reception place obviously) and if weather permits, outside at the Milleridge. We don't have a lot of time between the church and reception. I am hoping the weather will be more early Spring than late Winter.:o)

Did you book a hall yet?

question for Elizabeth

We are getting married March 17th.

I remember now your posting awhile back about the big welcome/rehearsal dinner. Wow! It's going to be a busy and exciting couple of days before your wedding, isn't it? That's so nice that so many friends and family are travelling in for the wedding. I think I know the church you are getting married at, there are a lot of churches in Queens (as I'm sure there are in Boston). I think our rehearsal dinner is going to be very low key. I was going to do it 2 nights before because we are getting married in the morning on Saturday but I am now thinking of changing it to Friday night. So we will want to do something local and early. I would love to have a brunch on Sunday for out of town guests or include them in the rehearsal dinner but truthfully, we are getting pretty tapped out with all the expenses so I think we need to keep the rehearsal to just immediate family/wedding party.

Did you meet with Grand Florist? What did you think? How were their prices and quality?
