Question for girls who get their hair Japanese straightened

Are you planning to wear your hair curly on your wedding day? Do the curls stay? I had a trial the other day and I asked for loose curls and within a few hours, they were barely there anymore. Bummer

What kind of products did your stylist use on you hair?
My hair is Japanese straightened and usually if I have curls done the stylist uses a lot of product because they assume it will not hold. When I had my trial with Sarah Rock, she did very loose curls, used a normal amount of spray and they did hold. I still don't know how Im wearing my hair the day of though.

mine held all day long! it depends on what your stylist uses and her technique in my opinion. try different stylists and see what happens

I wore my hair curly for my wedding day and it did manage to stay until the reception hour. During the reception hour, I wore my hair half up and half down so it was not that bad. Your stylist will have to use a really good hairspray & curling iron. If you are planning on keeping one hairstyle-curly for your wedding day, then you will def have to re-curl your hair during the reception hour (touch up) or your curls will become flat. I never tried it but I personally don't like the Japanese straightening treatment since it tends to wear out after 4-5 mo. which is similar to a perm. It's really good for people with thick hair like myself but overall, it's too high maintenance to keep up with the treatment.
