You are probably gaining muscle and that's why you didn't lose as much weight as you normally do. What types of excercises are you doing? Cardio/weighs?

OK FIRST YOU DONT WANT TO LOOSE WEIGHT TOO FAST SINCE IT WILL NOT STAY OFF THAT WAY. AND SECOND YOU ARE WORKING OUT SO YOU MAY BE TONING MUSCLES TOO. IT'S NOT THE # THAT MATTERS ITS HOW YOU FEEL AND IF YOU LIKE THE WAY YOU LOOK... PS DONT MIND THE CAPS AT WORK AND THIS IS WHAT WE TYPE WITH... JUST MAKE SURE YOU DRINK TONS OF WATER AND YOU WILL BE FINE

Yes--you are probably gaining more muscle, which weighs more than fat so it's a good thing. The other thing is that you could also be plateauing depending on how long you've been working out.
You can change around your workout a bit to challenge yourself more--this might help. Also, don't necessarily go by the scale since muscle does weigh more--also go by how your clothes are fitting. Sometimes you'll find that your clothes will fit better or be a lot looser while the scale didn't budge much because of the whole muscle thing.
Don't worry--you're doing great!

Re: Question for girls who work out and lost weight???
Weight loss depends on your starting weight. If you are say 30 lbs overweight and you eat half of what you normally eat and exercise 3X per week you will lose roughly 7-10 lbs in the first 2-3 weeks. From that point usually you will plateau and lose roughly a pound or 2 per week. The more weight you need to lose the more it will come off if you stick to it. Eventually you will need to change up you exercise routine in order to challenge your body.

2lbs a week is right on target. If you lose 7 in one week, it's likely water weight and much easier to put back on. To lose 2lbs, you have to cut 7,000 calories--a lot!--so you can see how losing more than 2lbs of actual fat is very difficult. Keep it up. I'm of the school of thought (weight watchers school, that is) that slow and steady wins the race.

don't be impatient. I'd advise you to not even weigh yourself more than twice a month. Also, don't deny yourself of all yummy foods.
Allow yourself 200 calories of chocolate a week.... and divide that up over the week. It will make your life so much happier.... you won't feel like your suffering.
I lost 35 lbs or so by exercising like you are, and cutting out 70% of the carbs from my diet. No pasta, cereal, pancakes..... and only limited bread, potatoes, peas, carrots, and yams. The rule of thumb was 'if there's bread at lunch, dinner has no potato/bread'.... and vica versa.
I also used no artificial stuff.... no soda, nutrasweet, 'low cal cookies'.... I cooked everything. A lot of veggies, some lean meat, yogurt, a bit of cheese, and lots of low sugar and unsweetened teas (I like 'honest tea', and 'inkos'). And my modest weekly chocolate allowance. This went on for about 7 months, and I dropped 4-5 sizes, and have not re-gained an ounce.
hope this helps
