Question for Honeymoon

Since we will be in Europe for over a month, I was thinking of getting an ipad with 3G access so we have data access while we are travelling.

Or, I can get a loaner international Verizon phone for free and just pay for the extra international data service for the month.

But I wonder if having an ipad would be more useful in the future? And even be more useful overseas for son long?

What would you do?

How will you guys be traveling? Are you doing more backpacking, where your luggage would be at a minimum, or do you have more freedom with what you pack?

If backpacking, then the loaner phone will probably be best, because it is smallest and can fit in a pocket.

I'm doing Europe for just a little under a month for my honeymoon too..

And I was considering this but I don't like the size of it. I feel as though when the technology gets smaller I'll buy. I guess that didn't really answer your question lol but it's not a bad idea.

True- we are backpacking, train riding, Ryan Air flying...etc!

I guess they will just give me an international Blackberry so we can google stuff, check our mail, and make overpriced international phone calls, etc.

Right- I remember getting a phone in Italy and I would recharge my minutes at the store. Incoming calls were free- so I would call my mom, and have her use a calling card to call me back!

But if we have a Verizon phone, as long as we have wifi, we can just skype
