Re: Question for Interfaith Weddings
I agree, its up to you, whatever you feel comfortable with. We're going with a judge because we're both not religious and most importantly didn't cave to any family pressure, which can get intense

Re: Question for Interfaith Weddings
we didn't have an officiant from either faith, we had an interfaith minister who incorporated things from each of our religions.

Re: Question for Interfaith Weddings
We are only having a priest, but it won't be overly religious - as it's in our RH. But if you want a priest and a rabbi - our priest does interfaith ceremonies. He's amazing - Monsignor James Lisante of St. Thomas in West Hempstead.
I went to his interfaith pre cana with Rabbi Blauch (spelling?). It was incredibaly informative for wedding purposes and child-rearing.

Re: Question for Interfaith Weddings
I'm going with an old law school prof (who was also an ex-administrative law judge).
He's doing it as a personal favor (free), unfortunately he does not rent out his services.
Although before he offered I did post asking for suggestions and got some good responses. I'm sure you can find the thread through a search

Re: Question for Interfaith Weddings
I am Catholic and FH is Jewish. We are having the priest that married my parents and my older brother and his wife. We were originally planning to have a priest and a rabi, but we figured the priest is a special person to us and that's why we chose him, not b/c of a specific faith, and that was enough.

we're having my pastor and a rabbi. fh isn't too religious, but it means a lot to his grandma.
