Question for Long Island Teachers

I'm just wondering do you know how long it takes to hear back from the school district after the 1st interview??

Someone I know has been waiting about 3 weeks to be called for the 2nd round (which is to give a mock lesson). He thought he did very well on the 1st round but still has not heard back. He has not gotten a rejection letter yet either. Does this mean he is still in the running???

He may still be in the running but I wouldn't really expect it at this point. Is he interviewing for a position next year. Without the rush to fill the position immediately districts sometimes take more time. Every district is different though. At this point, he may be getting a rejection letter. It often takes a little while to get one of those. I don't know if that is b/c they are waiting to fully accept a candidate or what!? I wish him the best of luck! Now is the time to search the papers!
