Question for Mac users...............

Are any of you familiar with iMovie?

I was just kinda looking through it and it seems kinda complicated. Is it easier than it looks or should I try reading the user manual?

Yeah, I was thinking of possibly using this for a slideshow at the wedding and wonder if the quality will be good or will it look cheap and cheesy? Im sure it probably has the potential to look fantastic but it all depends on whos making it right? lol

And I can see your powerbook in the background of your e-ring pics. I have the same one! You will most likely be hearing from me soon for help.

i am not yet familiar with iMovie

BUT

i do have a dumb

just got a mac - how do you save and pic and post it? Also can you save pics so that you can see little icons of the pic in a folder instead of the info for the pic or the name you have saved the pic under??

i think i can answer your q's...to save a pic i just drag it to iphoto and then upload to photobucket.com and get the web image address.....
when opening up a file, all the way on the upper left hand corner you will see 3 buttons...one has 4 squares, the other has horizontal lines and the third has a three column table. When you want to look thru files in a folder, if its on the one with the four squares you will see icons...the middle one with the lines will show u the photo name and the third button will show the name and then a preview of the pic ( i like that one best)
hope this was clear! lol if not, ask

The quality comes out AWESOME!!!! And since you are in control, it will probably be even better than you could get it from someone else. I don't want to sound morbid, but I made a slideshow for my grandfather's funeral and it played the entire time on a screen during his wake and people were actually coming up to me telling me I should go into business because that's how nice it looked. If you want to, I could even send you one of the slideshows I did and you could just folow the format with pics of your own to see how it works!

the quality is Perfect, you have nothing to worry about.

And imovie is pretty simple once you get the hang of it.

But i DO suggest that you go the Free iMovie Workshop at the apple store near you. They will tell you every aspect of imovie and idvd. They're great.

FH and I went a couple of months back to the apple store in The Westchester and we learned a lot, but had to leave early.

If you have a macbook or macbook pro, bring it in with your pictures, they'll probably use your images for the class and there, you have a film to take home.
