not married yet but I heard it was within 60 days prior to the wedding date you have to obtain it.

You can go anywhere from 60 days to 24 hours (to the minute) before.

We went about a week before.
Keep in mind that you probably need it at your rehearsal!

Got mine on a fri and got married on a mon... so 3 days before... but our situation was diff since it was a bit spur of the moment decision .... bottom line is you need to get it 24 hrs - 60 days before

we actually went the wednesday before. We both had off... it took about 20 minutes... we filled everything out online so we just showed up, verified the info and paid...
