Question for Mothers

Since we're going on our HM next year, we decided to take the kids on a family vacation after the wedding. Originally wanted to go to disney but can't afford it. Any ideas of where to take our 11y/o and 10y/o? We checked cruises but none around the time we want to leave which would be 8/31/09-9/6/09

Seriously what about Virginia Beach in Virginia or Myrtle beach in south carolina?
Im not a mom but i went there when i was a kid and it was fun.

I forget the name of it...but there is a Sandals type resort that is for families.

Also there is a place (I think the closet one is in the Poconos) called Great Wolf Lodge...its an indoor waterpark and hotel but its COMPLETELY family friendly and fun for all ages...FH, his family and I went there and all the adults had fun and 6 y/o FSD had a blast too. The hotel has tons of activities for kids, yours would probably love it

Colonial Williamsburg ... I went with my mom when I was around that age and had a blast. The colonial stuff is a lot of fun (or maybe only if you are a nerd like me ) and Busch Gardens is in Williamsburg as well, so we did that one day. I don't know, I had a total blast when we were there! It is worth looking into and should be a lot cheaper than other things ...

Bahamas is great for families and Beaches vacations (same as sandals, just for families) are great too, a bit pricey though. Punta Cana is also a family vacation spot.

If you do plan on the Caribbean just check out when Hurricane season usually hits.
