Question for my sister who is a nervous wreck!UPDATE FURTHER DOWN THE PAGE..........

My sister is 11 weeks preggo and she had some brown and a little red spotting this morning after she went to the bathroom. (after she had a BM, sorry if TMI) . She has checked since and she said it was very little and no crampingl She freaked and called the doctor and he told her she can go to the ER or wait till tomorrow and see him, he did not sound to nervous about it, but she is, She said it is very little. She was asked if she overdid it by being on her feet a lot. She works a lot and is on her feet alot, she is an eye doctor, she also picked up a 20 pound baby last night at her friends house. Has anyone ever had this happen to them and everyhting was okay? She had 1 miscarriage years ago that was unexplained and this baby she had invitro. Thanks in advance.

I'd get to the ER, they will rule out any complications and then she can relax, rather than spending the next 24 hrs worrying, I have heard of this before and it was nothing, but I have also heard the opposite to be true. Better to be safe!

this is def tmi but was it def coming from the vagina, could it be from the rectum ( becuase you said after bm)? If it was it could be a hemmroid or an anal fissure both are very common esp in pregnancy

Just spoke to my sister she is exhausted she has been up since early this morning. She said her doctor told her to try to wait it out till tomorrow morning. She now said it is a little brown spotting that looks like it is freckled a little bit and it is stopping . ( Sorry if TMI). I told her if it was that much of an emergency the doctor would have told her to get to the ER ASAP. If it was me I would have flipped and went to the ER. I also told her for peace of mind maybe she should rent a baby doopler. She was hoping to be able to use her stethscope in a few weeks. I will keep u all up to date as soon as I know.

Ok, this is NOT A PROBLEM. Let your sister know that everything is ok, because a lot of pregnant women spot. 9 out of 10 times it is concerning, but not alarming. Especially since the spotting is not accompanied by cramps, and/or red blood, then it could practically be anything (recent gyno visit, nutrition, being on her feet, even sex, etc).

I am also at 11 weeks, and have been spotting since 6 weeks. I was alarmed at 1st, too, but have since learned that this is a very common thing. Every case is definitely different, but I would wait to see the doctor if I were your sister. I'm sure that everything is fine.

The EXACT same thing happened to me twice - and both times everything was fine. My dr said in the first trimester there is a lot of blood near the uterus etc since everything is explanding and its very common. She will feel alot better when she sees the dr tomorrow but pls tell her its more common than she thinks!

My sister just called things are not looking too good. They said they do not see a heart beat and the baby has not grown since her last sonogram. She is getting a level 2 sonogram right now, and if there is no heartbeat then she had a MC. I feel so bad for her, this would be her 2nd MC. If she did have a MC she will be getting a D&C in the next 24 hours. I feel so bad, I did not know what to say other then I was so sorry.

SO sorry to hear!!! I went through the same thing. Only my Dr told me I didn't have to decide on a D & C right away....I miscarried naturally.

Another update..............
She is in the ER at the hospital right now, her doctor wanted her to wait till Friday!!!!! She said she is not expelling a fetus and flipped out on him, ( sorry if TMI) I do not blame her and she is going to find another doctor when this is all done.They are going to be doing the D and C in the ER tonite. I am going to go up there with my DH to keep my BIL company and to bring him some dinner. My poor sister.......... Thank you all for the prayers.. I will continue to update everyone. I hope the D and C goes fast and she is okay. Does anyone know about them? ( D and C's?)
