Question for my sister who is a nervous wreck!UPDATE FURTHER DOWN THE PAGE..........

Original post by princess99

My sister is 11 weeks preggo and she had some brown and a little red spotting this morning after she went to the bathroom. (after she had a BM, sorry if TMI) . She has checked since and she said it was very little and no crampingl She freaked and called the doctor and he told her she can go to the ER or wait till tomorrow and see him, he did not sound to nervous about it, but she is, She said it is very little. She was asked if she overdid it by being on her feet a lot. She works a lot and is on her feet alot, she is an eye doctor, she also picked up a 20 pound baby last night at her friends house. Has anyone ever had this happen to them and everyhting was okay? She had 1 miscarriage years ago that was unexplained and this baby she had invitro. Thanks in advance.

Sad to say, I have had two D&Cs, however, I would opt for them over expelling it on my own. I could not wait for that or want to go through that. It's a personal choice, neither one is right or wrong. My doc thought it was best to have the D&C as well. You are put out and it goes so fast. The procedure is like 10 min, not even but then after they have you recoop. Some people have light cramping after, I had none. I had very little bleeding but it's common to have more than a little. It should all be explained to her in the Hospital or by her doctor. She should then get her period within 4 to 6 weeks from the D&C. Please let her know she is in my thoughts (although she has no idea who I am :), I am thinking of her. It's a really tough time but she will be okay - needs to give it time. Some docs do suggest to wait. I had the option with the first one and when I said D&C my doc said good and then with the next one he said he suggests a D&C. I agreed!
