Hi! Searching through old posts, I saw that you booked Skylight for video. Can you tell me who else you looked at and what made your decision? Thanks so much!!!

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you--it has been a crazy week! Anyway, you are right, we are using Skylight. We actually were recommended by our photographer who has worked with Skylight in the past. We saw about four other videographers (Premiere, Salzman and Ashley, Glenmar, and Bart Stevens). There were a few reasons we ended up choosing Skylight Video. First, of the others we looked at only Premiere specialized in video. We really felt that it was best to have our videographer specialize in video -- rather than have it be a photography studio that also does video. One thing to be careful about is alot of photo studios actually contract out their video -- so you have no idea who you are really getting. Premiere on the other hand was great -- VERY professional -- very impressive studio/editing office, but also VERY expensive! In terms of the other three, we really did not like their style of videography. For our taste, there was a bit too much emphasis on special effects and cartoon editing that we did not care for. Skylight seemed to have the perfect balance for us. There were a lot of price options, the style seemed simple and elegant, and they were a video-only studio. I went with my FI to visit Skylight and we booked them for our wedding. I am so excited. Aaron met with us and was so patient and helpful, and of course their videos were incredible. I know they will do a fabulous job! Woohoo! One more decision made!
