Did most people bring your gift to the wedding or did they send it ahead of time?
ETA: by gifts i mean cards w/ checks too

Almost all cards with checks were giving to us at the wedding and put in our birdcage card box. There were about 10-15 gifts brought I'd say - rest were sent to us.

A bunch of my mom's friends sent wedding gifts off the registry starting about 2 weeks before the wedding. A few people did bring physical gifts to the wedding. Not many. A few people that weren't able to make it sent checks or gifts ahead of time. Some who rsvp'd no sent a check after! It was very sporadic. In terms of cards with checks/cash most people did that, and brought them to the wedding and put them in the card box.

Most people gave me cards with checks at the wedding (if I got an actual present from someone, it was probably in relation to the engagement party or my bridal shower). We had just one or two people bring actual presents to the wedding.
We didn't have a very large wedding, so DH and I would gather the cards and when we had a handful of them I would make a run to the bridal suite and put them in my purse, which was hidden in a backpack, which was under other stuff... etc.
