If she wants to go, then be honored! That means you've really made an impact... afterall, isnt that why we all became teachers? (Besides the summers off...lololol)

Re: question for teachers....
Some of my past and present students (and their parents) are coming to my ceremony this summer and I think it will be really nice to have them there. Since my ceremony is at the church, people who are not coming to the reception (ie: students, secretaries, etc.) can just come for the ceremony. One of my co-workers got married last year and some of her students went to the church...it was really cute!

Re: question for teachers....
when I did a leave replecement in 2nd grade, the class wanted to come, and be flowergirls, and ring bearers in the wedding They only came to the ceremony. I made photocopies of my invitation, and most of them showed up

I like that photocopied invitation idea! That's really sweet. I definitely am honored that they want to be there....they're such sweet kids. And they're so excited about the wedding...even though they never see me anymore!

I'm actually having one of my kindergartners as my flower girl and I am also going to invite the entire class to the ceremony only.

Re: question for teachers....
I invited my whole kindergarten class to my ceremony, and about 15 showed up. It was wonderful to have them there. Here is a photo of us together...

Re: question for teachers....
I am a teacher and my students ask all the time about coming to see me at the church. I would love it if they came. Many of them even ask if they could come to the party after. I just kind of laugh it off. They are only 2nd graders but could you imagine?

Re: question for teachers....
I got married at my hall...and it was a good 30 mins away from the school...so no students...
my sister and BIL work in the same school and got married at a church so they had quite a few students come...
the best part about changing names as a teacher is answering to 2 different names...students that had me under my maidan name rarely used the new one...it was actually really funny when an old student passed my room and said 'Hey Ms E..!' and one of my present students raised his hand and asked 'Who's Ms E...?' It was funny...I was like its me...
