Question for the Computer Savvy

I scanned a form and wanted to upload into my computer as a text document so that I could type in it as needed. However when I do it, it only comes up as a picture!! Do any of you know how to convert it so that I can use it as a text document?

there are programs that you can use to scan a document so that you can type on it. You need to research and see if your scanner is capable of doing that.

Can you 'save it as' a word document?

ETA: Some of the programs, like Photoshop have a 'TEXT' option where you can write on the pic.

you need to have OCR software installed.

OCR = optical character recognition
