Here is the question on the thread:

What do you remember thinking, if anything, RIGHT before you walked down the aisle?? I can only IMAGINE what will be going through my mind... please do share to give me (and other future brides) and idea of what to expect.

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

Well since it was just yesterday it's pretty clear in my mind!
As soon as I heard the music and my bm's started to walk, I remember thinking (I think I even said it out loud to my dad & the limo driver) ... 'oh my God this is really happening right now'... like that's the moment it actually hit me that I was about to get married & really doing this... this was when it actually felt real. I also remember thinking this was something I wanted to remember for the rest of my life so I told myself to focus & just take it all in. And I remember thinking how cool it was that so many people were there, and were standing up just to watch me walk down the aisle, that felt great. I remember thinking this is one of my last moments as a 'fiancee' before I become a wife, and also I was thinking, I wonder what he is thinking/feeling right now at the other end of the aisle.
I guess there were a lot of thoughts at once but it was just PURE excitement. One of the happiest most exciting moments of my life.

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

Lets see I remember it very well
I looked at my dad and said 'I am sooo pissed that he did that' he just said are you ready? I said yes and dont step on my veil when we get up there! Then only thing I could think was dont blow the veil away from your face and dont trip!!!

I did neither but dad did step on my veil

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

LOL this isgoing to sound really weird.. but I was about to start crying because we had this string quartet version of U2's with or without you playing for my procession.. and its sounds so beautiful .. and my sister says think of that stapler guy from ' office space'she goes 'laura, wheres my stapler'
so I am in hysterics..so I don't start crying.. right before I walk down the aisle.. and we were still laughing about it afterwards..

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

I had butterflies and was just thinking about getting this day , that I had waited for for so long, started. I was also thinking about which foot my dad and I should start on and what DHs face would look like when he saw me....

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

When the music started and my girls started walking down the isle that is when the 'HOLY S*** I'm getting married feeling set it' & I started to cry...this was me to be exact

Then I pulled myself together b/c my sister was like 'you stop that right now, you haven't cried all day' lol I think what made it worse was my Dad start to get teary eyed and I just let loose.

When I pulled myself together, I didn't think much but I felt the excitement just rush through my body......then I saw his face and everything was ok in the world

OH and when I was halfway down my contact shifted somehow,I guess from crying and my right eye got a little blurry so I was also thinking...'please shift back into place'

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

when the doors closed and the music played i remember saying to myself ' they're playing my song! this is it! this is the most important walk i'll ever make in my life' i remember starting to cry b/c with the music playing, and the thought that my honey was at the other end of the aisle waiting for me- it was just the greatest feeling ever!

i was overcome with emotions! and i cried down the entire aisle

if you really take a second to absorb whats going on, its a really beautiful moment.

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

I was nervous for the first time all the day. I was waiting in a little room with my parents and they were both trying to make me laugh but I was trying to breath! I wanted to get out there and see DH!

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

I was listening to the music thinking it didn't sound the way it was supposed to.. I was almost annoyed.. but then I heard what was supposed to be the introduction of the Bridal March and it still sounded weird but I told the limo drivers to open the door and we walked down the aisle.. I was smiling the whole way down!!!

(PS.. the organist did screw up the music, but that's a whole other story!!)

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

When the doors closed and the music played I thought to myself'OMG its really happening!' 'this moment I've been planning for 18 months is here' I started crying like a baby. My mom asked me what I was thinking right before we walked down and I told her that I realize im not a little girl anymore, im getting married to my best friend. im going to be someone's wife! Then I made her cry. It was one big emotional moment. Its so hard to think back already on that moment and it was only just about 3 months ago!

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

lol -- this is in your mind, huh dani? lol even though i already told you, i'll just share for anyone else

i think in the moment before i walked down and the BP was doing the processional---it FINALLY seemed beyond real...2 yrs of planning, 5 years of dating, thousands of dollars, and a lifetime of waiting.....and the moment was happening---i was about to get married!! i was listening to the string trio play 'The Prayer' for the BP, and it sounded to beautiful i started to get misty eyed, and then when my FG went--the music stopped, and i realized in one instant--this is it. my father is next to me, and we are about to walk down the aisle. this is the last time that I will be his 'little girl' first, cause now I will be Pete's wife first and foremost. but at the same time i also felt this enormous amount of joy, cause i was about to walk down the aisle and marry the most wonderful man in the world.

the tears welled up in my eyes, and for a second i just couldn't breathe cause i was overwhelmed with emotion. and then when we walked out to start heading up the aisle--i remember hearing ppl give that little 'gasp!' when they see the bride--and it felt so great, and i looked up and there was Pete waiting. (we had done pics beforehand--but it still didn't take away from that moment of seeing him at the altar) the tears stopped and i was just happy!!!!!

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

Well i was standing up on the back porch of my RH, my parents were at the bottom of the steps waiting for me...so honestly i was looking out into the crowd & waving to people and talking to my RB.
I was giddy and so happy...and doing ok with the not crying part....i heard my processional song start & i got a bit teary eyed...but then said 'ok let's rock & roll'...to my parents to get myself out of my emotional mode & make it down the aisle without crying. I can't remember the journey down the aisle...but i made it w/o crying...woohhoo. I hate when people see me cry, good or bad...of course DH got me with his vows...but by then it was ok..hehe. Here's a pic of me just before.

i was so so scared to walk down the aisle. most importantly i was so scared of everyone staring at me. i definitely had butterflies and when my mom started crying...i lost it....

luckily i had my limo drivers there to calm me down in the lil room they hid me in...

but once i walked down that aisle and i could see my hubby....everything was great. i just hoped he thought i looked wonderful which he said i did

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

I was just really really really nervous. I was so wrapped up in all of the details.......and really stressed out. However, my Dad handled it really well. We had to turn a corner to get to the actual aisle....when we got to the foot of the aisle, he stopped us. We just stood there for a good minute or so....and he told me to look around the room.
It totally got me into a different 'place' I looked around, saw everyone beeming.....and then all I could see was DH across the asile.
Taking that moment to look around the room was priceless. I'll have that image in my head forever.
