i was so so scared to walk down the aisle. most importantly i was so scared of everyone staring at me. i definitely had butterflies and when my mom started crying...i lost it....

luckily i had my limo drivers there to calm me down in the lil room they hid me in...

but once i walked down that aisle and i could see my hubby....everything was great. i just hoped he thought i looked wonderful which he said i did

I dont think i ever saw your wedding pictures before! OMG you looked so beautiful and elegant!! I cant believe how pretty your veil and hair is!

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

Well the moment right before i walked down the aisle i heard the music playing and i started to cry like a baby. I needed to pause and just fan myself for a little bit because i was getting so emotional. Once that passed and i finally got myself to the entrance of the ballroom i was completely fine. I looked at DH with the biggest smile on my face and all my tears went away. It was an unreal moment where all eyes are on you and the only person you see is your DH

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

Unfortunately I was a little upset so I couldnt think much. My DJ screwed up my processional song...so my RB, FG and BM's were walking down the aisle and then he reset the song and it just pissed me off. So when it was my turn to walk down my mind kinda went blank for a sec...then I saw all my friends and famiy and a huge smile appeared on my face and then when I saw my DH just looking at me all the screw up just disapperaed.

When the music started and my girls started walking down the isle that is when the 'HOLY S*** I'm getting married feeling set it' & I started to cry...this was me to be exact

Then I pulled myself together b/c my sister was like 'you stop that right now, you haven't cried all day' lol I think what made it worse was my Dad start to get teary eyed and I just let loose.

When I pulled myself together, I didn't think much but I felt the excitement just rush through my body......then I saw his face and everything was ok in the world

OH and when I was halfway down my contact shifted somehow,I guess from crying and my right eye got a little blurry so I was also thinking...'please shift back into place'

That picture is PRICELESS!! I loveit!!

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

Well I remember it well: The Church Sexton said, lets go, its your time. I looked at my Bridesmaid who was in front of me and said, holy molly, can you believe i am finally getting married, then I said Holy Crappppp, Its my time, I cant wait: The music for the bridal march started to play, I kind of got teary eyed and took the biggest deep breath of my life, then Hollie, Our day of wedding coordinator said, oh my, I love this song, I played it at my wedding. Then I just remember my two brothers who escorted me down the aisle say, its your time, are you all ready Krissy, here we go.......I was so so nervous and just overwhelmed at everyone looking & waiting for the bride to appear, but I was so excited, I was saying to myself, wow, all my dreams are about to come true, Im really getting married, Holy Crapppppppp, and before you know It we started walking up the aisle, it was a bit tight and the aisle is rather narrow for three people, then I was thinking my brothers are going to take out the pew flowers which were done wrong, thats why we wanted them put inside and tall not in the aisle so they would have room to walk down the aisle. Then I was rather in shock I think, In the pictures I looked so scared in the beginning, all smiles, a bit teary eyed but so excited in the middle and then inbetween the lifting of the veil and my brothers handing me off to the groom I was all the above, just then a peaceful calm came over me.........

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

I was fine the entire morning. In fact at times, I had to remind myself I was getting married; I was just too calm.

We get to the church and that is when I am like OMG I am getting married today. The limo driver is directing everyone on when to start walking down the aisle and then closes the door for my big turn. At that moment I was definitely having a panic attack. My heart was beating so fast. As the limo driver opened the church door he said 'Breath' and all of a sudden I felt so much better.

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

Well, I remember hearing someone remind me to smile....I suddenly became nervous and wast aking deep breaths instead of smiling at the very start of my brief march down the aisle. (this was at the reception hall in an outdoor area.)
Then, at the 'altar' , I looked over my shoulder to see my 75 year old dad making sure my train was laid out perfectly for me. Everyone laughed as I whispered loudly, 'Daddy...it's okay...sit down!!!!!
Then, I was completely relaxed.....
So, ladies.. don't forget to smile!
And, your parent/s will be more nervous than you!!!!

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

I am a teacher and when I was walking into the church there was about 40 of my students from the past two years outside waiting with cameras. One of my little girls said to me ' You and my mommy are the prettiest girls in the world'.....I just thought this was sooooooo FREAKING CUTE I couldn't stop laughing....so I was kind of thinking about that!

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

First I told my daddy not to forget to lift my veil and kiss me...

But when I stepped into the aisle: All I thought was: 'WOW'.

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

Okay this thread has done 2 things:

1. Managed to get me so nervous about getting married 3 months ahead of time...LOL...I was reading your stories and with the pics you can envision and OMG, how nervewracking! I'm almost having a panic attack just thinking about it. I hope my IBS doesn't act up!

AND

2. Limo drivers are very important...they need to get your from A to B and they need to distract you from your own anxiety!

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

I am not married yet, but...my two sisters are walking me down the aisle, (Did I mention we all cry at the showcase showdown part of The Price is Right?).....anyway, we already discussed it, and so we don't all get hysterical crying..this is what we are all gonna be thinking of as we walk down the aisle...

'Lions and tigers and bears, oh my..Lions and tigers and bears , oh my...'

I told them to just make sure we don't accidentally say it outloud!

Re: Question for the MARRIED Ladies:

I was completely calm all day. Not a single nerve. Then when I walked into the church, I lost it. I had a mini panic attack. Thanks to my SIL, I calmed down after about 5 minutes. I wasnt thinking much when the girls were going down the aisle. I was just concentrating on my breathing. Then they closed the doors. I turned to my dad and said in a shaky voice ' I can feel your heart beating through your arm' and started laughing. He started laughing too and said 'So what, Im nervous'. It broke the ice which was great. Then the bridal march started, they opened the doors, dad and I looked at each other and said 'here we go'. From that moment, I locked eyes with FH and smiled all the way down the aisle. A moment I will never forget.
