On the day of your wedding, how many people gave you actual wrapped gifts? Is a gift table necessary?
Were the gifts bought off your registry??

Re: Question for the married ladies
Only 5 people gave us actual gifts the day of my wedding. We had 125 guests and all the rest gave $$ We didn't use a gift table, we had them right behind the dais table (if you looked right at the dais you couldn't see them).
Also they weren't bought from the registry

Re: Question for the married ladies
We had a gift table and needed it. Both of our families are gift givers, not check givers. I think you should have something just in case.
eta, didn't see your registry question. yes, some were things that we had on our registry, but some weren't.

Re: Question for the married ladies
we got a couple shipped to us prior to the wedding and on the day of think maybe two??
we had a card box and that was set up on a table behind us.. i think the maitre d took care of any guests that came in with boxed gifts.. no one actually handed it to us..

Re: Question for the married ladies
We didn't get any wrapped gifts, everyone gave us a card with cash or a check. A gift table wasn't necessary but we did have a table with a card box.

Re: Question for the married ladies
I am really supprissed in 2008 people brought at gift to a wedding. My FH is from upstate and his family and friends asked where do they gifts go. I told them 'you don't bring a gift just cash or a check. I cant believe people from LI would bring a gift. Now I am worried people will

Re: Question for the married ladies
we got one wrapped gift, but it also came with a check!! It was only a cookbook!! We had a big cake table so if anyone did bring gifts they would have went on there. Don't assume that people will give you money....

1 couple brought BB&B wrapped gifts - the Bridal Attendant took them and put them under the placecard table until the end of the night.
