question for the mommy-to-be's

my cousin just had a premie.

i'm obviously going to knit the baby something.

if you could pick a knitted item for your new baby, what would you like?

hmmm....

i still have these adorable booties and hat my grandma knitted for me when i was born...so honestly, i'd like the same. something that can be passed on. my daughter wore them and this baby likely will.

i will have 200 blankets, something unique is what i would want. DH's grandma already knitted and gave us a blanket [for xmas, and claimed it was for us...really? it's like 2' x 3'...it's definitely for the baby...yawn]. it looks like any knit blanket i can buy in a store.

[sweaters...eh. dh's great-aunt is knitting one for the baby...i'm not really thrilled over the whole idea to be totally honest. it's absolutely darling of her to do it, but for some reason, since i'm having a spring/summer baby, i don't want a sweater.]
