Question for the past Watermill brides that used the Vanderbilt Suite
Is the pillars an issue at all? I'm looking at the photos of the Vanderbilt Suite and the Astor suite. I have enough people to go with either one. The only thing is if I take the Astor suite (which I really prefer), I won't be able to have the outdoor ceremony, and I really want to have an outdoor ceremony.
So my question is for the past Watermill Vanderbilt Suite brides, does the reception hall being downstairs and not on the main floor and the pillar become an issue at all? To me that's kind of a big issue, and I was thinking of giving up the outdoor ceremony just so that I can use the Astor Suite.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Question for the past Watermill brides that used the Vanderbilt Suite
I'm not a Watermill bride but I went to 3 weddings there in 2 years. Two of the weddings were in the downstairs room, and I have to say they were a blast. You never really noticed you were downstairs except when you first walked in there. The room was much more spacious than the upstairs room. I thought the upstairs room was a bit narrow and I preferred the downstairs a lot more.
