Did you find it hard to find clothing to wear? I'm 10 weeks and 1 day today and although I'm not showing, I do feel that I have somewhat of a belly (water retention) and can't fit into most of my stuff . I bought maternity pants, and a few tops, but they are a little big. The most comfortable ones I bought were from H&M, but I can't exactly wear them every day... . What to do? I don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of $$ on maternity clothes, but I hate not having much to wear. As it is, in my previous job I wore a uniform, and worked there for a while, so I'm WAY behind on the shopping. My wardrobe is VERY limited, and I just feel weird because I've been at my new job for a little over 3 weeks and I have yet to see people wear the same thing twice..lol!!
The problem is I haven't let them know I'm pregnant yet. Please help.

Re: Question for the Preggers..
You are bringing up a good point that I will have to deal with at some point. I am only about 6 weeks along, so I can still comfortably wear all my clothes... in fact, I made sure to wear my 'skinny' pants yesterday while I still can!!!
I don't want to spend a ton of money as well... maybe if you just get a few pairs of pants and some tops to mix it up with, you won't have to break the bank?

What's funny is that I had bought a pair of skinny jeans prior to finding out and have yet to wear them. I'm going to wear them even if I have to get a band to stretch them lol. Believe it or not, Old Navy had skinny maternity jeans..and they were cute!!! The problem is it seems there are alot of us out there because when I went they didn't have ANYTHING. I am looking forward to the spring when I can really show off my belly with cute dresses etc...but again..don't want to spend alot of money. It's going to be hard, because how do you not buy clothes for 7 months??? LOL!

Re: Question for the Preggers..
although i am NOT pregnant, yet. i think i have the answer for you.
i have a co-worker/friend who is also expecting and she had this problem. i went to a maternity clothing store to check out something for her (unrelated) but i stumbled across the answer.
there is a 'stocking' that you can buy. ( i don't have the exact name because 'maternity' is blocked at work. it's considered 'sexual content' ) anyway...
it's like a 'tube top' you wear lower on the tummy. there is a little elastic in it. the way it works is this: you put on your 'regular' pants on, but you don't zip them up. you put this 'tube top' over the tummy and then your regular shirt. and it gives you the look of wearing two shirts (layered look). they have them in different colors
the store i went into was 'motherhood maternity' and they carry them right by the register.
i hope that helps

Re: Question for the Preggers..
Nice advice above!!! I went out and bought stretchy pants, so they could expand with me. Belts have become a bit of an ouch to me, so I went with elastic. If you buy black stretchy pants, they still look nice.

Bella Band... I used it for my maternity pants before I was big enough for my belly to hold them up - I loved mine!!!

Re: Question for the Preggers..
I simply spent the $$$$ on maternity clothes. Less of a hassle in the end. I've been in them since week 6. Yes, some stuff was loose, but I'm already seeing which shirts and pants won't last until June!
