Im confused. How do you actually reherse? Have they told you that you could go there the day before or something? or do you just have to find somewhere else to do it??
TIA!

Re: Question for those having cermemony at the hall
We are not rehearsing..which I'm not 100% comfortable with...but it wasn't really much of a choice for us.

Re: Question for those having cermemony at the hall
I am working with my hall on that. There is a wedding or a party there the night before my wedding - so I may have an afternoon rehearsal.

Our hall has a rehersal that morning (minus me ) We were not going to have a RD, but decided we would and do a rehersal then - our DOC will run through it with everyone.

Re: Question for those having cermemony at the hall
Ours allowed it, but since the room was in use at the time we wanted to hold the rehearsal (around 6ish), we had to arrive at 5 (too early) or 9 (too late). My immediate family, myself, and the minister were all staying at a hotel, and I asked them if they had an empty meeting room. They did, and there was no charge for it.
If you have a clergyperson, you may be able to hold the rehearsal at their church also.

Re: Question for those having cermemony at the hall
My FBIL&SIL were married at their hall (Chateau Briand May 2004), what they did was a rehearsal the day of, about 45 min to 1 hr prior to the ceremony. What they did was a run thru with everyone with Just the bride and then everyone with Just the groom.

Nope not for us. Our officiant says we will do a quick rehearsing 5 minutes before the ceremony.....so that should be fun?

Re: Question for those having cermemony at the hall
We are getting married on a Saturday and our rehearsal is the wednesday before because of other affairs on Thursday and Friday. From what I was told it's just a quick run through

This is what they did for us about 1/2 hour before the ceremony. They met with the groom's family first and then mine, minus me. It all worked out just fine. They told me to just sit and wait for someone to come and get me and that's exactly what I did.

Re: Question for those having cermemony at the hall
Since DH and I had a sunset ceremony, we saw eacho ther during the day for photos. We wound up doing a quick runthrough about and hour before the wedding. I'm sure we could have managed without any rehearsal at all.

We're going to have it the night before at the RH. Just won't have the RD there since it'll be the same kind of food.

No rehersal needed, I am getting married at the Crest Hollow and I called them 3 different times to make sure...they tell you what to do minutes before. They just point and you go, its real simple.

Most Jewish weddings, I know do the 'rehearsal' right before. Typically, the ceremony and reception are in the same place.

THis is exactly what we are doing, right before the ketubah signing....

Re: Question for those having cermemony at the hall
They told us it would be about a half an hour before. I decided I will not attend this rehearsal. We are taking pics before the ceremony, and thats one thing, but its another to 'pretend' we are getting married when I am in my full wedding gear. I'll let my mom and BM's fill me in on what I am supposed to do.
