Im confused. How do you actually reherse? Have they told you that you could go there the day before or something? or do you just have to find somewhere else to do it??
TIA!

We are taking pics all day, but will meet at the venue an hour before the ceremony to walk through everything with the catering director!

Re: Question for those having cermemony at the hall
We had a rehersal the day of the wedding. DH did not participate because we didn't want to see each other before the ceremony, but his part is really easy. Everything worked out perfectly!!!

Our hall has a rehersal that morning (minus me ) We were not going to have a RD, but decided we would and do a rehersal then - our DOC will run through it with everyone.
This is what they did for us about 1/2 hour before the ceremony. They met with the groom's family first and then mine, minus me. It all worked out just fine. They told me to just sit and wait for someone to come and get me and that's exactly what I did.
don't u have to meet the clergy 1 month before? I am a little bit worry about that. so, do u think I still need to have rehearsal ? and what is the purpose of having rehearsal? I am confused. I thought that rd is liked the bride and the groom ( if u don't have doc) are explaining what you, your family, and bridal party have to do in the ceremony.

Re: Question for those having cermemony at the hall
I would like to do one the day before and then have a rehersal dinner at a restuarant nearby. Hopefully this is possible. It will be nice since we have a lot of OOT guests, and I want to give the bridal party their gifts at the dinner. I think JT will allow this. I have to call sooner to the wedding to be sure, though.

We'll be meeting with the officiant approx 1 mth to review the ceremony...just FH & I. Most people know what to do in weddings by now, but it's still a good idea to do a run through with everyone...especially if there are children involved. Our hall offers to have one before the ceremony starts which we'll do, but I will not be taking part in it. I still would feel more comfortable practicing it with everyone beforehand...which is why we decided to have a RD and practice it with BP and Family members at that time. We chose a place with a private room that will not mind us running through it. Our DOC will run through it with everyone at the RD.

Most Jewish weddings, I know do the 'rehearsal' right before. Typically, the ceremony and reception are in the same place.
THis is exactly what we are doing, right before the ketubah signing....
This is what we did. To be honest, I'm not really sure anyone was really paying attention anyway! The BM said to everyone as they walked in, 'OK, you're next' I saw it in the video, it looked good

Re: Question for those having cermemony at the hall
Our hall was booked Wed-Fri night before our wedding so we had the rehearsal at DH's church. The ushers, DOC, and ministers got to our hall early the day of though so they'd be comfortable with the set up of the place.

Re: Question for those having cermemony at the hall
I'm not having a 'real' rehearsal. I will be telling everyone beforhand whom they are walking with and the order. I think I've been to enough weddings to figure it out on my own.

Re: Question for those having cermemony at the hall
We went to FF the night before the wedding and practiced (without the priest). Just with the maitre d, so we would all know where to walk and stand.

Re: Question for those having cermemony at the hall
I know we're allowed to have a rehearsal at Jericho Terrace, but since we're getting married on a Sunday, chances are there will be weddings and parties going on that weekend. A Thursday night RD may not work for everyone.
Considering everyone in our BP is already married, and we're the last ones to go, I think everyone will know what to do!!!
