question for those having or had a band....

If there were songs that you really wanted at your wedding but the band didn't have them on their play list what did you do? They said if i give them notice they can learn the songs. But there are a lot that they didn't list.
If it were the entrance songs for the BP would you just have them play the songs from a cd? Would that be rude, insulting, cheesey? I'm starting to regret not having a dj. Please advise. Thank you

I had htem learn 1 song, for our first dance & they did an excellent job with it. I would ask them. They may have mroe songs not on the lsit.

MY friend said 1 band she met with offered to play a CD , b/c there was some Irish music they wanted they was too hard for them to learn.

My one friend played a CD (it was Beyonce, and so they could definitely never have played that, so I don't think its rude) and I know of two others who had their band learn a particular song. If their list is not that long it might only be a sample of what they play - you should find out - good luck!

There are so many songs out there, I think most bands don't put them all songs on their playlist.

We made a list of songs we wanted them to play and some were not on the list, but they knew them.

They had to learn the song DH danced with MIL to, and they did it in a few weeks I think and did a great job.

I agree with this. They can't possibly keep updating the list, there has to be some lag. But my band learned about 6 songs for us. Yes, I was a pain, but it went off flawlessly.
