Question for those of you who delivered at Winthrop.

Matthew is just about 1 month old now, and I delivered at Winthrop. DH and I have been wondering about photo's.... we both have 'newborn' photo's that were taken of us, by the hospital, right after we were born. We were never given the option of purchasing/or just given a newborn pic of Matthew. Do hospital's still take these pics? Is it possible that Matthew missed his photo op because he was taken to the NICU? Just wondering if any other ladies who delivered at Winthrop received a newborn photo of their child? Thanks.

Andrew was born at Winthrop and we got a package of his newborn photos that we had the option of buying or not.. (we did). I believe they take all newborn photos 3 hours after they are born.... While I was there, some lady came around with the information package which I filled out my name and address if I was interested in getting the photos. Did you do that? Not sure how it works if he was in NICU.

I didn't deliver at Winthrop, but I can tell you that my hospital still does the newborn photos.

I almost missed it myself, as I was getting Aidan ready to go home I passed the nursery and the nurse was taking a picture of a baby in the bassinet. So I asked how I can get info on it, when they do it, will someone come see me, etc. Apparently I was supposed to get a packet but it was not in my paperwork, but they take the photo on your way home anyway so I didn't miss it. I was surprised though that the nursery nurse takes the picture! LOL They were sent to the house maybe a week later, you could send them back if you didn't like them. Of course, I kept em!

Thanks ladies. I called the hospital and was given a reference number and an 800 number to call. They did indeed take pictures of our son. If I hadn't called, I never would have received my sons newborn photo's. THANKS!!!!
