Question for those that got a degree or did a course online.

So, I just got all my material to become a medical billing especialist.
To tell you the truth, I feel a little bit overwhelmed.
Can you give me any tips on how to do this successfully? TIA

i took two online course and I too was alittle overwhelmed when I started. I dont know what type of set up they have for your program, but when I took mine, the profs gave us general guidelines as to when certain things were due.

Its great if you have a really hectic schedule, because you can do it at your own leisure. We had discussion boards, so that way you could converse with other students in the same class and also we had weekly/biweekly projects or papers for individual work. Make sure you keep on top of everything, even if you can only sign on for five minutes each day. Its very easy to fall behind. Is there anything specific you are worried about??

I took most of my Master's online. Just keep on top of what is due when--it is easy to get behind because you aren't forced to sit in lectures absorbing information! I thought it was easier for me because I prefer typing to talking.

Don't think about the big picture. Focus on one thing at a time and trust that you'll get through it. Whenever I got a syllabus in college, I would get nervous and think: 'How am I going to learn all this?' But you do it one step at a time..And it just happens! Good luck!

good luck wiht it all, and the other two were sooo right about taking it one step at a time. It gets easier as you go. best of luck:)

I took two online classes this semester and loved it! It was a lot of work (reading and posting), but so nice to be able to do everything on my own schedule and not have to worry about going to lectures. Just make sure you keep on top of it,its very easy to get behind!
