Question for Watermill Brides*
Hello! My fiance and I booked at The Watermill and I just had a question for any Watermill brides.I don't really mind two weddings at a time, but I was curious if anyone was bothered by it on their wedding day.
At The Watermill there is an upstairs ballroom and a downstairs ballroom. I know that they scatter their times so the cocktail hours obviously don't interfere. Other than that though, did any Watermill brides run into another wedding party during their event?
I don't even think that would bother me, but I'm just curious how separate they actually keep the events. This is a question for the venue, but I was also wondering if anyone knew if there was a bathroom upstairs and downstairs. We are in the upstairs room and I know there is a bathroom in the hall. It wouldn't make sense for the lower floor guests to have to come upstairs but I figured I'd ask.
We're getting married on a Friday,so I feel like there is some potential that there may not be another event, however the likelihood of that is slim.
If anyone could tell me about their experience that would be great. Thanks!

I am also booked in the Upstairs room on a Friday night and its not a big worry of mine. I know they scatter the times. Are you having your ceremony onsite? So you mind me asking what time your reception ends? Ours is 7:30 ceremony (there) 8-9CH and 9-1 reception. I am concerned this is way too late but they won't budge on the time so I am thinking its bc there is another wedding a little earlier than mine

I'm not too concerned about it because of the way they structure the timing . There is a bathroom downstairs so I wouldn't worry about that either. I'm getting married there in 26 days so I'll let you know how it goes!

Question for Watermill Brides*
I went to a wedding there years ago. We knew there was another wedding going on but until we got out of the shuttle at the hotel no one saw the other bride.

Re: Question for Watermill Brides*
To Jott1015:No, our ceremony won't be on site but since it's a Friday night it will still start at 8PM. That means it will be from 8PM to 1AM.
I definitely get where you're coming from with it being late (my fiance thinks 1AM is late also) but personally I think once you're there you're going to be having so much fun it won't matter how late it gets :)
I'm curious about that too though. If my Friday night wedding starts at 8PM, then how much earlier will another bride's start? We booked in March for next May, so I believe we probably got the date before anyone else. That's why I wonder what time another bride will get. Oh well, thanks for your response!

I was in the downstairs ballroom, there is a bathroom down there, also a private one in the downstairs bridal suite. I never ran into the other bride. Their CH was starting as ours ended, they were both outside on a sat day wedding.Welcome New Vendors
