I got a call from Kelly to meet with her to discuss the wedding. I'm guessing we will be talking about the menu. Well, she told me that I can only schedule a meeting Mon-Thurs but FH works out of town and he comes back Friday. For those who have already met with Kelly, is it necessary for FH to go? We're both a little annoyed that they are so inflexible.

We meet with them about 6 weeks prior to our date, I think it is a little early for you to meet with them to discuss your menu.
It is not necessary for FH to be there. At the meeting, we picked the hot dishes for cocktail hour, table cloth colors, napkins colors, chair bows colors (only if you want them). They asked which vendors you are using.
They went over times for the day of. When a final count is needed and we scheduled a drop-off/final payment 3 days before our wedding.
Also make sure you bring up everything you discussed with your BM when booking. For instance, we asked for sugar free cookies and it was something we needed to remind them of.

Thanks for the info! Kelly actually contacted me 2-3 weeks ago to make an appt. Strange that she would ask me to come in so soon.

Personally I would put it off for at least another month. When we booked we were told to do the menu selection 6-8 weeks prior to our date, and that's what we did.

Lol...this put a smile on my face. I guess I'll just go to pick up menu info and return at a later time for final decisions. Word prob got out that I'm so indecisive and shes trying to catch me 4 months in advance

I would also check to make sure she has your right date or maybe she called you in error because its way too soon

Kelly told me that she always meet people this far ahead to make final arrangements. Ugh, feel like I'm being lied to.
