I have a question for a friend of mine who is getting married next year. She wants to have an outdoor wedding at Cresthollow but wants a priest to officiate the wedding.. Is this even possible or do Priests only marry you inside the church?????

I believe catholic priest will only marry you inside a church.
When FH and I were considering outside ceremony we said we would go to the church and find out how to make it be recongnized by the church.

sometimes really old priests will do it, but they are hard to come by

I've searched and searched and didn't find 1 priest who would marry us outside of a church. I was told only if it's an interfaith marriage would they do it.

Deacons can do it though. Thats what my sister did since they weren't married in a catholic church
