Question for you ladies

Is anyone not doing programs? I am getting married at my hall, and I was wondering if I HAD to do programs. Any thoughts?

I'm not doing them... i feel its a waste, most people just throw them out anyway... maybe if it was in a church i would (since its more detailed)
But i'm in the hall too... so no

I don't think I will be doing them. I am having the wedding in a church, bust most people attending are of the same religion and don't need them.

Im doing them so people know who everyone is. they are going to be designed by me and a single page booklet.

Im doing them..mostly so I can have one ..a keepsake..but we are making them ourselves..Ive looked at professional ones and I think itll be not so hard to do..and Cheap!

I dont think I want them either - another expense! If it's at the hall and it's a short ceremony that everyone understand, I wouldn't do them. But if it's interfaith or half is not of that religion, then I would do it.

We're going to do a small program that myfiance is going to be creating becuse he's an artist. It's just going to have the bridal party and probably the readings and order of the ceremony....nothing fabulous, just a little something. I like the idea of having the program - even if only one or two people appreciate it!

Plus i have not been to one wedding that had them. Actually ONLY one, and they had a full mass.
I was at an interfaith one at a hall and they didn't have one.

You can do whatever you want. I am doing them, but i don't think that's one of those things people are sitting during a ceremony saying. wow, we didn't even get a program. Most people probably don't even care

I am doing them. I am making my own. I am not spending a lot on them. One of my moms friends gave her a box of beautiful covers for the programs that she didn't use for her daughters wedding. So basically, except for the paper inside, they are free. I am going to do them on my computer. I just want something to give to people at church so they know everyone and can follow along with the ceremony. Plus, they will be a nice keepsake for me.

I am not doing programs.... what I am doing is a Sign Board type thingy that will detail the BP & the musicians, readers, etc. I will bring it from my church to my reception as well...... I like programs, but I don't know how many guests actually use them....JMO.
