Question from an 07 bride if you got married in a Catholic Chruch

How many readers did you have?

The couples at Pre Cana were telling me that you have one for the Old Testament, one for the New Testament and one for the Prayer of the Faithful.

So did you pick three readers or have one reader do two readings??

We had 3 readers. DH's cousin did the 1st reading, my cousin did the 2nd reading and my brother read the Prayer of the Faithful.

I have a copy of my wedding program in my community album if you want to see what readings we chose.

Me too. But I believe you can have the priest do the Prayer of the Faithful if you don't want three readers.

I had 2- the prayer of the faithful is optional for the priest to read. You can have 3 if you want.

I had 2. One for Old Testament, and the other read from the New Testament and The Prayer of the Faithful. You can three if you want.

We picked 3 different people. One for each reading.

We had 4

1 for the Old Testament
1 for the New Testament
1 for the Responsorial Pslam
1 for the Prayer of the Faithful

We also only had a ceremony. I guess it depends on what you Church does. Ours had a booklet that we picked from and we had to choose those 4 things.

we had 3 readers. 2 did readings and the other did the prayer of the faithful. we chose the readings from the together for life book.

3 readers.....First reading, second reading and prayer of the faithful...it could have actually been 4 if I added another person for the Prayer of Faithful

readers are the same regardless of whether it's a cermony or Mass... Mass adds Communion only, no addidtional readings.

We are havign 3 (one for Old testament, one for New and one for the prayer of the Faithful). If you ar elooking to include more people, you could add a 4th and have them alternate the petitions of the prayer of the faithful with the other person OR have your responsorial psalm read instead of sung.
