Question from my BM

Question from my BM

This is her question word for word:

'if the ceremony and reception are at the same location, do i still include a reception card in the invitations? or do i just put on the invitation 'please join us for reception immediately following'....and if proper etiquette is to do a reception card anyway, what would it say since its at the same place? '

I am sure my mother the etiquette police can answer this, but I want the opinion from you girls.

Also how would you word it?

I might include it because I like the picture of the the hall being on there.. I knwo Tessa told me I didn't have to but I might anyway.

Re: Question from my BM

I'm getting married at my reception place, and just put on the invitation 'Reception to Immediately Follow'.

However, if I had the option to put the picture of the place on it, and if I got one of those kick a$$ invites Tessa does, then, I have to say, I might have done it, just for fun.

I just wrote 'dinner and dancing follow' on the bottom of my invite.

Invitation 'etiquette' says that you certainly do not need to include a reception card. But if you want one, go for it!
