The church ceremony is at 3pm (we're not having a full mass) so ceremony will be over by 3:30 and then with the receiving line... it will be over at 4. Figure 15 minutes for pics... 4:15
Cocktail Hour starts at 7, but I want everyone (family and BP) there by 6:30 for pics... it takes a half hour to get there, so we would need to leave by 6pm....
My question is:
What do I do with the time in between? Is 1 hr and 45 mins... too long for pictures if we go to Holtsville Ecoology Lab? Or should I drop the BP off at my house and FH and I go for our pics, then come pick them up and go to the reception???
SOrry so long, but PLEASE HELP!!!

Re: Question - need help! (long)
We started taking pictures at 1 and we barely finished at 3 so I think 1:45 might be cutting it close, especially if you have travel time. We had a small wedding party (3 BM, 4 GM), 2 sets of parents, 2 grandmothers and 1 aunt.

Re: Question - need help! (long)
I have the same problem as you. My ceremony is 5 minutes from my house and recption place is 10 minutes from my house. My mother is going to have people over at the house for the time inbetween. I'm going to Bayard Cutting to take pictures and if we end really early we can go to my house or to the hotel where FH's family will be (my house isn't big enough for both). I'm betting on the fact that time will fly by. It su cks, but what can you do?

IMO there is never too much time for pictures!!! use every second of it! When you are done taking pictures at the first location take some at your hall! Trust me when you get your pictures back.. no matter how many you have its never enough!

oh good, so hopefully they won't be stading around all pissed off that they're waiting around... I thought it would be good if they just came along too...

I'm in the same situation and I would definitely take them along! I don't think that's too long at all.
BTW - Can you take indoor and outdoor pic's at the Holtsville ecology lab?

I don't see why not... as long as it's nice out...

Hey, I definitely don't think that's too long for pictures at all.
Our church is at 3 & our reception is at 7:30 (CLM)--we're planning on getting to CLM at 630 (Nick permitting).

Re: Question - need help! (long)
my in-laws are trying to find a place near our catering hall (like a bar - or even our hotel bar) which people can go and relax (we have about 1 1/2 hrs inbetween as well) and have a drink, and mingle.
